I got a message that was incomprehensible. I called the number back. IRS investigator Jason Williams answered with his ID IRM 9068. Alleged that I owe $7568 and that if I do not pay within one hour I will be arrested. He had my home address. He transferred me to Dennis Dunn also of the IRS who had the same story. Both had thick Asian accents. I pointed out that this was not a DC number, and he gave me his desk phone 202 844 0454 but insisted that I cannot hang up the 206 number, and that I should call his direct line. I hung up.
