Received a call from this number and out of a moment of weakness, I answered it. A Pakistani or Indian voice identified himself as "Steve" calling from Microsoft. I continued that my IP address had been compromised which would allow people to access my computer without my knowledge. I asked him what IP Address was compromised but he couldn't tell me. He then ask me to open a command window and type in "eventvwr" which opens the Windows event viewer and he proceed to tell me that all of the errors and warning shown on the screen were attempts to access my computer. At this point, I was starting to have fun so I let him continue knowing that the errors and warnings were routine on any Windows system. He then ask me to type in "www.tinyurl.com/....." in the command window which is a site that converts a long URL to a shorter URL and also would allow a redirect to a different site. In this case, it would redirect to TeamViewer which is a remote access software that would allow him remote control over my computer. Before I hit ENTER, I asked him if he thought I was stupid and that I knew he was not from Microsoft, my IP address was not compromised and no way in hell would I allow him access my computer. He got angry with me and hung up.
