Per other comment I had also received postcard stating loan closed out and require immediate response. No way to verify as it was the weekend. Decided to look and see if number is a scam. It most likely is a scam as it is not same mortgage ID and different mortgage company as what I’m currently using. If you’re unsure call your mortgage company and not the number on the postcard!!!

Notice about my "recently closed mortgage" about an "important manner". Since I can't get past their voicemail system without actually giving them the mortgage number, I'm running up their phone tab. I think it's close to 15 minutes at this point, and hopefully I'm preventing some actual mark from getting scammed.

The number was on a postcard received in the mail about a recent mortgage refinance and they need to speak with me about an urgent matter regarding the loan. I am the worlds biggest skeptic and read the small print. It says "All information provided by HWC 888-865-1774. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by UNITED WHOLESALE MORTGAGE". They are probably hoping to sell mortgage insurance which I don't want so will not call the number. Did find Hillegass, Wilson & Cowan, Inc out of FL www.hwcinsurance.com with a different phone number 914-246-7314. Hope this helps!
