This company called me From a debt from Bank of America from over 10 years ago when my account got overdrawn when they were charging those aggressive OD fees. So they claim Bank of America can collect 3 times what I owed plus $1,000 for just putting my name on the docket and entering it in the system with the county to serve me. They are basically debt collectors trying to collect uncollectible debt and if you're smart enough you will understand how most of what they're doing isn't legal. For instance the debt they're calling me about is over 10 years old and has been charged off my account. 1) they are saying that it is cost effective for the bank to go after this 10 year old debt which is not true when it's under $200. and Bank of America had a class action lawsuit against them for having aggressive overdraft fees and I already received the refund from them so it doesn't make sense that they would now try to collect the total amount from me and then some. This is just the new tactic to try to scare people in paying them money and it's a shame that they are Doing this for a living.

I also was called by an "private" number yesterday and they left a voicemail. This lady had difficulty pronouncing my 2 syllable name which makes me think it is a computer generated voice. I used to work for lawyers and process server do not announce themselves. She said that she would be serving me at my home or place of work this following today. She stated that I could call this number to reschedule or if I have any questions and to reference my case number (starting with CV). This VM was also left on my Mother's cell phone. If you get this DO NOT CALL or ANSWER their call. I heard that false debt collectors try to get someone to speak to them and then they claim to credit reporting agencies that the debt is valid because it is active? I don't understand that but the FCRA Fair Credit Reporting Act clearly states that after 7 years any debt is invalid and should not be on any credit report. These people are criminals! Do not be scared or intimidated by them. Do not speak to them. DO NOT PAY THEM! They belong in prison but never will be there because actual prosecutors are more concerned with drug prosecutions because the drug thing is an easy win for them and gets them career promotions for locking up pot users and other drug offenders according to an ex-friend assistant District Attorney.

Same lady also called from (646) 982-0993 threatening that she would be serving me today. LOL

have not yet gotten a visit from process server but I don't expect that to happen
