This number called me threatig legal action from CRA. I called back and every time I challenged them on what they were calling about they hung up on me. HUGE SCAM!!!

Just got a call from this guy claiming to be officer James Morrison, he left a message. I called back and they answered Canada Revenue Agency. I continued to tell them that someone called from that number and it sounded like a scam, they immediately hung up on me. Going to call the police now.

Got the same call twice today. Second time I answered and told him that I already talked with Ted Nugent and he had cleared everything up for me.

Claimed to be an officer from the CRA and that his 'associate' James Morrison was attempted to get ahold of me to get my lawyer contact info so that I could be sued by CRA for 'incorrectly recording income' during the period of 2013-2016. I told him that the information I had filed was correct. I further told him that he needed to deal with me in legal correspondence as the real CRA does and he got angry and started yelling. "You think this is a joke? I can have Mr. Morrison on your doorstep within the hour to carry out an arrest warrant!" I was like "Yeah, buddy, knock yourself out. This is a scam and we've all been warned, you're wasting your time." He got screamy then and hung up. Other clues: Indian/Pakistani accent Lots of noise in the backgroud (CRA uses noise cancelling headsets, you will NEVER hear another worker) When you call back you get a 'busy' signal -- CRA will put you into a holding pattern.

Got a call on my cell phone today from 1-844-801-9243, as soon as he said he was from the CRA I hung up, and blocked his number....

100% scam. Don't to call back. Better report to police.

officer James Morrison (That's an actor's name) from no agency! demanded I call him or my lawyer must call back.. Yep.. will forward copy to the OPP

Left an angry message claiming to be Officer James Morrison and to call back. If I disregard the message then "good luck". Not calling back.

I was called by this number with the same message as previously stated. The caller ID number showed up as "V" - followed by a long string of random numbers. After not answering, I received the voicemail with the message others are describing. I quickly googled the number and came here. After receiving a poorly completed form-text message after, I text back: "For your information, CRA doesn't call people, they contact by mail. Second, you really need to work on your form letters to make it at least look legit. I have already reported your scam as have others who know how to google a phone number. So, officer (insert fake name here), continue to harrass me and you WILL here from my attorney." I have since reported this scam to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and I encourage others to do so as well.
