some wanker called me from this number not leaving a message, when I call back they answers with a "hello" not saying the name of the telemarketing company they were calling from.

They called the Office a few minutes ago & said that their business was closing & they wanted to give me a refund for tech services we paid for, we never paid for tech services through them, we have a guy! I read on another site where these are the same people that try to run the Windows Scam on you, where they try to get you to let them into your system.

Caller ID showed "TOLL FREE CALL" from "844-386-8965". Caller left message on my answering machine saying she was from Microsoft technical support and the company was going out of business and wanted to issue me a refund. Asked me to call them at 1-844-386-8965. Obviously a scam because I haven't paid for any kind of technical support.

Refund for tech. I had not ordered or paid for the service they described. I told them to refund my card. I hadn't given my name or any other info. When asked for my 'payment info', I said they must have it in order to know I had paid. I was amused at having this guy try to convince me of reasons why he needed my info. Finally I just said "If you are going to attempt a scam you need to be smart enough to think through any questions you may be asked, so he should go legit. He tried one more time & i told him he could have my refund for himself & I was bored now ~ good-bye.

I received a call from this phone number 12:58 p.m. They left a message saying that Microsoft was going out of business and they wanted to refund my money for a product that I had purchased from Microsoft - I knew than that it had to be a scam. They wanted me to return their call.

Funny. I called the number and they simply answered, "Hello?" If you are going to try and scam someone perhaps you should use a professional greeting. So I asked, "Who did I call?" the answer, "Oh! Microsoft Refund Department are you the owner of the business." Nice try buddy. Idiots have no scruples. I don't have time for this *hit.

Due to me a refund for Microsoft support, company going out of business. All they wanted was to verify my identity, name and Social Security number, valid credit card, etc.then they would issue refund. BAD SCAM BEWARE never provide to someone who calls you anything, not even your name its a SCAM always!!!! Never Say the work(s) YES or OK they can record it and use it to charge you or your Phone number.

This number called me on February 4. It claimed a company was going out of business and I was due a refund. I think it is a trick to get your bank account number and/or credit card details. I got a very similar call a few months ago.

Called to inform me of a refund due to the company going out of business. A Microsoft company of some sort. I never bought anything from them, so...I don't have any refunds due to me. No doubt a SCAM ! I hung up, and blocked this call. Don't give these people any information. Not worth the risk. We are smarter than that !
