Same as above. Very convincing professional sounding lady called from "Caller Unknown" claiming they have my social security number, address, and place of employment. They are going to "serve" me with legal documents tomorrow between 2pm and 5pm at my home and I should make myself available. If I am not at home they will come to my place of employment where a manager or officer of the company must be present as a "Witness". I was scared for about a minute until my legal brain kicked in. I was a paralegal for 9 years. We never called anyone to serve them. If they knew we were coming most likely they would hide from our process server. Just human nature. So this call was utter BS and a scare tactic. Once I typed in the number & saw these posts I realized 100% SCAM. Didn't even bother calling, even though I was VERY close to doing so. Just an FYI no legitimate company would do business this way. A creditor has to give you an opportunity to make good on a debt. They contact you in writing 1st. Sometimes they call, but they do not threaten to serve you. They just do it. Usually with a process server or the Sheriff.
