someone claiming to be with ADT (that is what showed up on caller ID as well). Stating that I needed to upgrade my service as it was not working correctly with my cell phone. I told her that the number she was calling from was not an ADT number. Told her I would check her authenticity. She hung up.

This is a scam. They are attempting to impostor ADT and they say that you need to schedule a “system upgrade.” I called ADT directly and they told me they knew of the phone number and that it was a known scam.
