They claim to be Southern California Edison Billing department. First I got a call from a man named Carlos saying our power would be shut off in one hour due to non payment and that I needed to call 1-800-674-3485 to work out the issue. I called and they gave me a claim number and everything but said that I need to pay last month's bill plus shut off fee while this was being processed. I refused and asked for a supervisor, I was told that I was being transferred to a Mike Taylor but my call was disconnected. I called SCE and they confirmed that this is a scam.
