They claimed to be with IRS but the IRS never calls.

Received a voice mail from this number indicating they are the IRS and have filed a law suit against me. Quite the fright...Not sure how to respond except perhaps to feel some relief given that others have marked these calls as a scam!

NEVER EVER provide any information to anyone claiming they are from the IRS!!! I am a CPA and I have dealt with the IRS in the past. The IRS never calls, it is always written documentation should there be a disagreement. Then the IRS document has a phone number to call and the agent provides their number. BOTTOM LINE, PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

I just received a phone call from this number today. This was a scam. The indicators were the fact that the first supposed IRS officer that I spoke to had a foreign accent. The second indicator was that the second speaker that I spoke to had an accent. The third indicator was that they were demanding money immediately or else they would activate a warrant for my arrest. The fourth indicator was the fact they were asking me to locate a nearest bank or convenience store to make an immediate payment. I requested to talk to his supervisor since two of the individuals were foriegn speakers and I was curious to see if the third one would also be a foreign speaker. He refused. I let them know that I would not be making a payment until I see formal documentation received at my home address. After that the speaker became increasingly hostile threatening arrest and hung up on me.

IRS scam. Told me I was behind on taxes and were going to file suit against me. Told them they were a f-----g scam. Foreign voice says, "oh, no we are for real" Lovely response. from a professional person. In other words "Oh no, we are a real scam".
