Who called from the number +1 (647) 691-7925

Computer generated voice reading text claiming to be with Canada Revenue Agency. The message advised a lawsuit has been filed against me and if I did not call back using the number provided a warrant for my arrest would be issued. This is not how the federal government conducts business. You would receive mail/registered mail from the government. A human agent would call. They would not leave such a message; being unsure if they had reached your own personal and private voicemail. People are not arrested because someone has filled a lawsuit against them. If a bench warrant were issued for your arrest you wouldn't get a heads up from a robo-call suggesting a phone call and money would make it all go away. The police would be involved in taking you into custody. You have a right to speak with an attorney/public defender and you would have your day in court if you were criminally charged. This is 100% bogus, a scare tactic. Please contact your local police via their non-emergency phone number and make a report of the phone number and message. Contact CRA and advise them of the call. You will be helping to stamp out these hateful crooks and ensuring that they cannot prey on your neighbours, friends and relatives.
