Called to say that I have serious allegations from the IRS. I asked for his employee ID # so that I could report him to my supervisor, since we work for the same government agency. He slammed the phone down.

Exactly the same. Robotic voice message. Everyone they call has "4 serious allegations" against them. What a coincidence. Obviously a scam, but still puts that little damper on the day when you first get a call like that. Wonder how many people fall for this?
