Same thing happened, if I don't call back there would be a warrant

Left an automated voice mail saying a lawsuit has been filed against me and if I don't call them back they will issue an arrest warrant for me.

Pretty sure this is scam. If I don't call back they will issue an arrest warrant.

SCAM. They are asking personal information. They said that they will issue a warrant of arrest if I don 't call them back. Block this number

Had a voicemail appear on my phone although no logged call. Automated woman's voice saying something about calling 613-801-5502 or there would be a warrant issued for my arrest. Called back and the person who answered said "CRA". I asked who I was speaking to and she said Christy Brown in a heavy East Indian accent. She couldn't speak french when asked and I said no one from the CRA would call and leave a message for my arrest and not be able to help me in french. I called her a bottom-feeding parasite and she told me to go ***k myself. Total scam don't pay any attention to it.

I believe if the CRA was investigating and or filed a claim against you would have been notified properly in writing via Canada Post or via a "human agent" for questioning either on the phone or in person with supporting documents for both parties to be presented... Nobody can just automatically say "your guilty of tax fraud and a suit is filed against you so call us now" and believe what these people are saying is true... So be careful of any information you are giving out because these phishers know the CRA does ask personal questions to properly identify yourself like your SIN and DOB Address etc... And that's what these phishers are looking for are people who have been a little less then honest on their taxes to call them back to find out what's going on and they'll end up releasing their identities... The vulnulbule will be directed to contact the CRA directly themselves for whatever reason to desenstitize them to the security questions and then directed to call back... Now when the victim calls back they are completely unaware they have just been scammed for their personal information... So watch out people!!!!!

Female voice message on my cell phone (not many people knowing my number!), pretending to call from CRA regarding lawsuit against me and issuing warrant if I don't call back. Identical to all posts above. I didn't call back. I classified the call as scam, based on similar experiences above and provided categories at the top of this page.
