Received a fax from this number claiming that McArthur Law Office would like to send the company 9 million dollars. The reason is that a relative of the president ("Alan Tanaka") passed away 9 years ago and left an inheritance of 9 million US to the first of kin. He apparently worked at "Energy Company" in Canada. There a couple problems with this. ・Currently working at a small Japanese manufacturer where none of the staff speaks English besides myself. ・The mail listed 3 emails addresses, all different. ・The address was to a law office that doesn't exist. ・The addressee's name was misspelt. ・The supposed relative who passed away first name was "Alan". No such first name exists in Japan. ・The name of the lawyer in charge is a famous defendant attorney in Canada, who I'm sure would not be involved in a case like this. If any of this sounds similar to your fax, it's almost certainly a scam.
