1st caller I could hardly understand and then he passed me off to what he called a supervisor. they were telling I was going to get a 30% discount form telus for next year. Asked me to get a pen when i said that i did not need one that my phone records everything. He then said "WHAT" I then said same thing! He then said my name is BYE

Kept saying he was from Bell and I kept telling him he was talking to the wrong person. I just hung up. Nothing but a scam and NOT a BELL CANADA phone #

Told me he was from Bell and we were going to get a 30% discount. Wanted to verify business information. Wanted my name. Told me to write down his name and Bell ID. When I asked how much our bill would now be, he kept telling me it would be 30% cheaper, but wouldn't give the amount! The funny thing is, we don't use Bell Canada! Loser...

Claims to be with Bell. Offers a 30% discount on our current services, just needs info for verification. Has all of our basic info (never an account number though). When you get passed through for verification they want you to clearly answer "Yes" to all their verification questions [because they're recording your answer as proof that you signed up for their bullshit]. During the pitch, the rep keeps talking rapid fire, repeating relentlessly how this is for Bell only, the offer is on their "Reliant" program and they are not affiliated with any local service providers like Rogers, Shaw, etc. They repeat this frequently so that when they patch you through to verification and that person asks "and you're aware that this is not affiliated with ANY local service providers" you don't catch on. Looking into this phone number & their Verification number (18003455148) it looks like had I said yes at Verification I would have agreed to massive charges for a new long distance provider outside of Bell. Even though I said no, the verification people called me back twice and then the service rep called me back again trying to convince me that this was all through Bell and that I was just confused. Yet when asked, he could provide no Bell-related information about our account. BUT He was very polite, in a patronizing trying-to-scam-you way.

Called at my workplace. Wanted to talk to someone about our Telus bill. I said I didn't discuss any kind of billing with a disembodied voice on the phone, goodbye, and hung up. The heavy accent and poor quality audio told me it was a scam. Plus legit businesses don't ask for sensitive information over the phone. Even if they can prove who they are, how can they prove they're not talking to the wrong person?
