Knew it was an automated call because my voicemail only picked up part of the message. Automated callers always start before voicemail activates. Said I was being charged with Tax Evasion or Tax Avoidance and gave me a number to call and warned me this was a very time sensitive matter. Guy had a slight accent, almost sounded like a soft Scot's Brogue. After all the threats the call made it ended with "Thank you"....

Called my work cell, March 2, 2018 and left a message (I know it's scam because CRA does not have my work cell number) Message was "...I want you, or your region attorney, to call us back on 289-802-0070. I repeat the call back number to the headquarters of the Canada Revenue Agency is 289-802-0070. Kindly do not disregard this message and call back immediately as this is a time-sensitive matter."

I did not answer. They left a demanding message that I was to call back. I do not know anyone in Ontario and they said it was from the CRA. The government does not call people or have my number so I know he was lyeing. Do not answer your phone from an unknown caller. Good luck and never give money or info to anyone.
