Who called from the number +1 (229) 299-5443

I received an email saying that my PayPal account was being charged $449.99. The email included this 229-299-5443 number and said I had 24 hours to dispute this charge. I checked my PayPal account and it's secure - no charge was pending. So I called this number and a professional-sounding recording said "Thank you for calling PayPal - your wait time is less then 2 minutes". About 10 seconds later I get the thick Indian accent. I gave him my email address and he proceeded to tell me about the charge (but didn't give any details as to the amount or the charging company). He was like "So how can I help you with this charge?" and I was like (playing along to see what he would say) "I didn't make this charge" and he was like "Okay - I can help you reverse this from your checking account". Needless to say when I told him I didn't have a checking account (lie) he hung up on me.

I just called this number back - 229-299-5443 - and proceeded to request an order of chicken tikka masala, Daal tadka (with both garlic and ginger), Lamb vindaloo (though not too spicy please), Chana masala, and Saag paneer. But when I asked him what kind of cheese he used on the paneer he hung up on me. What kind of support is that? Erghhh...I hate these guys.

Same as above. Received a fake but realistic looking email purportedly from PayPal letting me know I was charged and they would be sending my item. The email was sent from a spoofed or fictitious address, and the email did not specify what the charge was for. This phone number was in the body of the email to call with questions or to dispute.
