The man claimed that I owed 7K in back taxes and the IRS was after me. He said I should pay now to avoid jail time. He was very persistent. He became rather angry when I would not pay over the phone. I have paid taxes in full, always. This was a crook trying to trick me into wiring money.

Called me multiple times and left messages so I called back. The man said I owed 4000 to the IRS and that I have to pay at least 500 or I go to jail.. After a heated argument he hung up on me and said "wait for the police... They are coming to get you."

I was also threatened I was going to be arrested and and they used Caller ID masking to pose as both IRS agents and Sheriff deputies from my hometown using the appropriate numbers and area codes in caller ID

Just received threats and calls from this number about owing the IRS. This was a very sophisticated scam as they knew lots of personal information about me. I believe these people have/had access to government information on their computers and are hackers as well. I called back and gave them a piece of my mind. It felt great.
