Who called from the number +1 (202) 239-2683

I'm a lawyer in Louisiana, and late last week one of my clients was a target of a fraud call from two or more men using this same number (202-239-2683) in the attempt to perpetrate a crime on her. They claimed to be representatives of, first, Hewlett Packard, and then of the Department of Justice, or DOJ contractors (the stories evolved as they went). They said they'd discovered that her computer had been hacked and that the hackers had left behind some manner of files, data or photos that would be a crime to possess, if she were discovered with them, although they "offered" to delete them for her. After gaining access to her hard drive, they impaired it and stole some sensitive documents, and then "offered" to fix the problem for her for a sizeable dollar amount in the form of gift cards. Do not deal with these people.
