my mom got a call from this number saying is from public bank, because my mom just changed a new credit card due to lost, and suprisingly this scammer know she changed it and also asked if she change her phone number tied under this card as well and even able to mention the last 4 digits of my mom newly received credit card. My mom didnt give out any info, just confirm that she did changed the new card and also confirm the 4 digits number but the scammer then ask her to call another number for verification because he cant verify her card with the info she gave, my mom terminate the call immediately.Given the situation, i suspect it could be public bank internal staff who involved in this scam either directly or indirectly. Be careful of such, remember bank will not ask you to verify your card over phone call.
