I received a message from this number last night saying Hi, your estimated spend outside your plan's included value is $50. I have contacted optus to ask about our bill and everything looks normal, this is probably a scam.

I have travelled to New Zealand and have received a msg from this number to say I have activated your mobile device overseas. Significantly higher charges may apply. To stop roaming while overseas free call this number from an Optus mobile. I haven’t turned my roaming on.
